Shelf Contained Book Club
While we are all staying safely at home amidst the Covid-19 event, and are unable to participate in our monthly book clubs, we thought we'd bring the book club to you! Welcome to the Shelf Contained book club, which will be taking place on a web-based discussion app called Padlet, which is free, super easy to use, and fun to contribute to! Padlet does not require a username or account to use, and you can easily respond to others, or post your own questions or photos anonymously or under any name you choose.
Who can participate? Anyone! When do I particpate? Anytime!
There will be several selections to different reader-types that will run through the remainder of April. Shelf Contained Book Club will be moderated by NTAL staff member Elizabeth, who will regularly check the discussion, respond, and engage readers as they go through the book selections.
Let's get started! Our first selection is Jack London's "The Call of the Wild," which can be found on hoopla as an audiobook or e-book, and can be borrowed instantly. Once you've downloaded the book, click here to join the discussion! This link takes you to the Padlet discussion. Once there, you will see the discussion questions, beginning on the left, that you can contribute to by clicking the white "+" sign beneath each module.
Need a hand? Email echarette@ntal.org with questions on how to participate. Stay safe, stay home, have fun!
