Parents are their child’s first and best teachers. Research shows that talking, singing, reading, writing, and playing every day with your child prepares them for success in school and in life!
With TALK, parents will receive 2-3 text messages per week with ideas for fun, easy, age-appropriate activities to try at home. The activities don’t require any special materials and are quick to complete, but the benefits last a lifetime! Parents will also learn about free events and resources for families with young children in their area.
Parents in Washtenaw County with children under 5 can sign up to receive TALK messages. They will be asked to provide their zip code and child’s birthdate when they sign up so messages they receive are tailored especially for their child. Two birthdates can be entered so a parent with a baby and a preschooler can receive age-appropriate activity suggestions for each.
