The Makerspace is a place where people can learn new skills, explore their creativity, and turn ideas into finished projects using specialized tools that might otherwise be too expensive or impractical to own at home.
To begin, the Makerspace will be open by appointment only on Wednesdays, giving patrons dedicated time to create with staff assistance. Only one appointment can be made per day.

MEET THE EQUIPMENT
xTool S1

The xTool S1 is a powerful laser cutter and engraver that can create personalized gifts, home décor, signs, ornaments, jewelry, keychains, coasters, puzzles, and much more. It can cut and engrave a wide variety of materials, including wood, opaque acrylic, leather, slate, coated metals, and glass, making it perfect for both beginner and advanced makers.

Download xTool Creative Space (XCS) to design custom projects, import SVG files, and prepare them for cutting or engraving on the xTool S1.
Staff will be operating the machine. Materials are not provided for the xTool. You must bring what you want to engrave or cut. Only plywood is available for the xTool for a first-time project. |

Cricut Maker 3

The Cricut Maker is a versatile cutting machine that can create custom vinyl decals, T-shirts, greeting cards, stickers, paper crafts, home décor, labels, stencils, and personalized gifts. It precisely cuts hundreds of materials like vinyl, cardstock, fabric, felt, and other specialty papers. The materials must not be more than 12 inches wide.
Looking for inspiration? Browse Cricut Design Space for thousands of ready-to-make projects, images, and templates. Or, design your own projects, upload SVG files, customize text and graphics, and prepare them for cutting on the Cricut Maker. You will need to download the software and create an account to design your project. Staff will be operating the machine. Materials are not provided for the Cricut. You must bring your own materials to cut with the Cricut. |

Titan Press (2.5" x 2.5")

The Titan Press Button and Magnet Maker makes it easy to create professional-quality custom buttons and magnets that are 2.5-inch squares. Whether you're making buttons for yourself or personalized gifts, the Titan Press produces durable, polished results in just a few simple steps.
Design your artwork using your favorite graphics program or online design tool, then print, cut, and assemble it with the Titan Press. It's a fun and easy way to turn your original artwork, logos, photographs, or illustrations into finished keepsakes and promotional items. Staff will assist you in operating the machine unless you are unable. Magnet-making supplies are provided for the Titan Press in limited quantities (up to 12 magnets or buttons per session). |

Miscellaneous Materials
The Makerspace includes a growing collection of hand tools and craft supplies for a wide variety of creative projects, such as glue guns, acrylic paint and paint pens, and a letter-size personal laminator.
